When architect Susan Yun and designer Penelope August paired up to renovate an 1828 Manhattan townhouse for an artist, they weren’t afraid of color. Rather than play it safe with an all-white modern kitchen, Yun and August deployed a palette of purple, marigold, copper, brass, and pink glass.
