Named Resort of the Year 2020 by the Occasions of London, the newly opened Birch is situated in a 1763 brick Georgian mansion in the town of Cheshunt, in the vicinity of Hertfordshire, England. “It’s kind of a resort but it thinks it is a pageant,” in accordance to cofounder Chris King, who partnered with Chris Penn, the previous taking care of director of the now-shuttered Ace Resort in London, on the project. The “festival” idea includes workshops (glassblowing, pottery, bread creating), yoga, co-functioning areas, a cinema, an on-internet site organic farm, and a wellness area. Memberships are offered for standard frequenters.

The founders labored with architecture studio Pink Deer, who deftly overhauled the interiors of the hundreds of years-outdated composition, preserving original details and outfitting the spaces with a quirky combine of new and vintage items.
