When we stumbled upon Colombe Studio’s Instagram account, we found picture after graphic that activated our endorphins. It was apparent that we experienced to share founder Marta Chrapka’s complex assignments on our internet site. A although back, we did just that—see A Glamorous Pre-War Flat in Poland, Courtesy of Colombe Layout (and eBay)—and currently, not information with just a just one-off, we’re spotlighting another refreshingly grown-up house by the Warsaw-dependent designer.
This just one belongs to a couple (a author of historic novels and his wife) who questioned Chrapka to remodel a renovated-for-the-even worse apartment into a advanced pied-à-terre that was deserving of its prewar shell. As Chrapka really succinctly clarifies, “Everything outside—the beautiful setting up, the parks, the Vistula River, the check out, the light—[was great].” And the terrible? “Everything within.”
Following reinstating period of time particulars through moldings, herringbone oak flooring, and new grand windows, Chrapka went about appointing the house with pieces—a mix of custom, new, and vintage—that, alongside one another, channel eclectic elegance. But it’s the colours in this challenge, a warm mix of rust and brick purple punctuated with gold accents, that truly received us.
Have a seem.
